Description

Do you need another way to stimulate your toddler's brain allowing you time to get a task done? Another outlet that will not just entertain your child but also interact with them?

Add idle little hands to your App library for free and give yourself time to:

- Shop for groceries … (and be able to think about what you need to get, potentially not missing any items that you forgot to get because you were rushing through the store faster than superman folding on laundry day)

- Cook dinner … (without having to stop every minute or so to referee)

- Waiting in line at the Post Office … (or anywhere for that matter, because we understand delivery person/courier is one of the many job hats you have)

Did we mention idle little hands is free? We hope you find it improves your quality of life at least a little bit. Improving one's quality of life is what we are about.

What started as an exercise for two little rambunctious toddlers lead to a useful and interesting app so our brain team thought, let's share! That's a big lesson our team learned in their youth. Plus, since idle little hands went through the testing phase (read: kept a 5 and 2 year old's brain stimulated and occupied) so well our smart brain team thought again, let's turn this into an fully functional app and let the whole world in on it, for the betterment of mankind! Well, not so much, but what we hope is that it improves the quality of life for you and your little ones by keeping them stimulated (while learning no less!), giving you time to get stuff done.

Get stuff done.

That's huge for parents with little ones. At the grocery store, waiting in line, cooking dinner without having to stop every minute to referee, you know what we're talking about.

Because we love our test subjects and jump at the opportunity to share their awesomeness, we'll be putting videos of real world situations where idle little hands saved our day and made it a safer (and quieter) place for all www[dot]idleLittleHands[dot]com.

We took three ideas that little ones love and crammed them into a giant wheel of fun.

Today is...

A type of sight word/calendar program where you child can select words to create thoughts. Words as well as graphics are arranged into three columns. Spin the columns to line up an idea. Click a button to have the idea spoken to your child. For example, your child could create and listen to the words "Today Is Sunny" by choosing a graphic of the word 'Today' in the first column, 'Is' in the second column, and the image of a bright shining sun in the third.

Match!

Memory fun combined with a Price Is Right feel. Spin two columns of various images till both columns show the same image. Until the 'Match' button is touched, each object is verbally spoken to your child, reinforcing the learning opportunity. Click a 'Match?' button to see if indeed they match. See visual clues as to the result. If a match is made, those objects disappear from view as well as the verbal cues. Once a new game is begun, the objects are spoken again. When all objects have found their match, the game displays a visual clue that the player is great as well as a audio reward encouraging them for winning the game.

Math game …

From experience, most little ones love fast moving spinning wheels. Combine that with colorful numbers and simple arithmetic and you've found a great way to trick your little one into learning. Awesome eh? They think, this is fun! You know next time they're asked what 2+1 is they won't stick their head in the sand.
